Manual installation guide for Chrome users

Why Manual Installation?

Due to Chrome Web Store's developer registration fees, we currently can't host Quick Emoji directly on the store. However, you can still use our extension by following these simple steps:

Installation Steps

  1. Download the Extension

    Click the button below to download the Quick Emoji extension package:

  2. Extract the Files

    Unzip the downloaded file to a location you'll remember.

  3. Open Chrome Extensions Page

    In Chrome, navigate to chrome://extensions/ or go to Menu → More Tools → Extensions

  4. Enable Developer Mode

    Toggle on "Developer mode" in the top-right corner of the extensions page.

  5. Load the Extension

    Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder where you extracted the extension files.

Important Notes

  • The extension will work exactly the same as the store version
  • You may need to re-enable it after Chrome restarts
  • Updates won't be automatic - check back here for new versions
